Rajasthan's Pink City: Amber Fort, the latticed Hawa Mahal and bazaars that have traded in gems and textiles for centuries.
Jaipur is the natural gateway to Rajasthan and an easy city to enjoy at a gentle pace. Amber Fort in the morning light, the City Palace and Jantar Mantar in the afternoon, and the bazaars around Hawa Mahal as the day cools. From here the road leads on to Pushkar, Jodhpur and Udaipur, and we plan those longer circuits with the same attention to driving times and stays that we give to the mountains.
