Garhwal, Uttarakhand
The Queen of the Hills: colonial-era promenades, waterfalls and views over the Doon valley.
Mussoorie's Mall Road, Camel's Back walk and Landour's quiet lanes make it an easy first hill station for families and couples. Kempty Falls, Lal Tibba and the cloud-wrapped ridges of Dhanaulti are within a short drive. We tend to recommend Landour for a slower stay and Mussoorie proper for those who enjoy the bustle.
