About Ayodhya

Ayodhya is revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram, and the new Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple now draws pilgrims from across India. A visit usually begins with darshan at Hanuman Garhi, climbs on to Kanak Bhawan, the palace temple of Sita and Ram, and ends on the river, where the ghats of Ram Ki Paidi light up for the evening Saryu Aarti. Darshan timings and entry arrangements at the Janmabhoomi temple follow the temple's own rules and can change.
